Pop Warner Little Scholars is a National not for profit cheer and football league that dates back to 1929.  It is one of only a handful of youth sports organization that require participants to maintain minimum academic standards, and Pop Warner Football of Amherst builds on that tradition in the Buffalo Niagara Region of Western New York.

The objective of Pop Warner Football of Amherst is to familiarize players with the fundamentals of football and cheerleading in a positive environment that stresses the importance of academics, sportsmanship and character.  We provide kids with the opportunity to play in an organized and supervised environment . . . in Pop Warner Football everyone gets to play in every game!

NOTICE:  ALL COACHES, PARENTS AND VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN AND AGREE TO A POP WARNER FOOTBALL LEAGUE CODE OF ETHICS.  COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS ARE SUBJECT TO A BACKGROUND CHECK.

Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. is a non-profit organization that hosts local youth football and cheer and dance programs for participants in 41 states and several countries around the world. Consisting of approximately 360,000 young people ranging from ages 5 to 16 years old, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the United States.

As the only National youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate, Pop Warner is committed to developing America's young people on the field and off.  Each year Pop Warner continues to expand its efforts in team and activity participation, as well as visibility and outreach in the community.
